Austin Chessell, Associate Solicitor
Austin is a specialist family solicitor and a trained mediator who has been part of the team at Shortlands since 2008.
Focusing on the financial aspects of divorce, Austin’s clients benefit from his pragmatic approach to resolution, his work includes:
- Private family work – financial
- Private family work – children
- Cohabitation disputes
- Financial claims between unmarried parents
- International child abduction.
A trained Family Mediator, Austin is a member of Resolution and the Family Mediators Association.
Involved in charity work in his spare time, he is a member of the National Association of Child Contact Centres, and works as a volunteer in enabling children of separated families to spend time with their non-resident parent and maintain family relationships. Austin is also an Honorary Legal Advisor at the Citizen's Advice Bureau.
